APAND

( Asociacion de Padres y Amigos de Niños Discapacitados)

Together we're making a difference in the lives

of the handicapped children of Pedregal Peru.

The APAND school is a grassroots organization founded by the parents of disabled children of Pedregal Peru
Pedregal is a small village with extreme poverty, located about two hours by bus from Arequipa.
With little more than their own will power and commitment, these families founded their school in a temporary facility,
began classes, and acquired donated land where the new school has been built.

Raymond Brown Ph.D, has lived in Peru with the APAND community.
He has served as fiscal agent, raising awareness,
and funds for the APAND project.
