If you cannot afford our services,
Contact your local trash company.
Many offer a free bulky item pick up each year.
Ask them if they can "transfer" it to a recycling center.

If its a clean, usable mattress, box-spring or futon,
search the "wanted" sections of freecycle.org, and craigslist to find it a new home.
